A Day for Women & GIRLs on Bikes:
2026 Women's Mountain Bike Day

There is no one right way to be a mountain biker.

Some women race. Some are chasing bigger features or longer miles. Some ride with friends on the weekends. Some are clipping into a mountain bike for the very first time.

On May 2, nearly 200 women, families, friends, volunteers, and community members came together in Cuyuna for the 2026 Women's Mountain Bike Day.

Women hit the trails for group rides, learned new skills, connected with other riders, checked out bikes and gear, and spent the day surrounded by a community that simply loves getting more women on bikes.

For some, it was about progressing their riding. For others, it was about finding someone new to ride with. And for a few, it was the beginning of something completely new.

That's exactly why this day matters. Women's Mountain Bike Day isn't about telling women what kind of rider they should be. It's about creating space to ride, learn, connect, and belong exactly where they are.

Shopping FTW-Owned and operated businesses were also a part of the day!

Thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, led rides, shared their knowledge, supported the event, and helped create such a welcoming day in the red dirt.

Together, the event also raised more than $3,000 for the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Crew, helping support the trails and volunteer-powered work that make days like this possible.

More women on bikes. More ways to ride. More reasons to keep doing this.

We'll see you in 2027.
