Midwest MTB Fest 2025 Recap: Three Days in Cuyuna
Riding, Community, and Red Dirt Magic
If you were looking for the best mountain bike event in the Midwest this summer, the Midwest Mountain Bike Fest delivered. Held June 20–22, 2025, in Cuyuna, Minnesota, this non-competitive, community-focused event welcomed riders of all skill levels, from seasoned pros to first-timers.
Set against Cuyuna’s legendary red dirt trails, the three-day festival offered incredible singletrack riding, bike demos, community gatherings, and support for the local MTB scene.
Over 60 miles of world-class trails provided the perfect setting for:
Demo & Expo: The Best MTB Brands in One Place
Riders tested bikes from top names like SRAM, Wolf Tooth, Ibis Cycles, Otso, and Esker Cycles—taking them straight onto the trails they were built for.
Ride-In, Ride-Out Access
From flowy descents to scenic overlooks and technical challenges, Cuyuna delivered a taste of the Midwest’s best riding.
Community, Camaraderie & Nightly Events
The weekend came alive with live music, bonfires, the Fat Tire Happy Hour, the famous Klunker Ride, a film screening under the stars, and the Scavenger Hunt Challenge.
Supporting the Trails
$10 from every pass sold went directly to the Cuyuna Lakes MTB Crew, keeping these trails world-class for years to come. Saturday night’s Pints for a Purpose also gave riders a way to toast the trails while giving back.
From Friday’s sunset swim and movie night, to Saturday’s scavenger hunt and evening festivities, to Sunday’s vintage bike meetup and group ride, the Midwest MTB Fest was a celebration of riding, friendship, and the Cuyuna spirit.
And the best part? We’re already planning for 2026. Expect similar June dates, with the official announcement coming in the next month. Mark your calendars - you won’t want to miss it.
