galloping goose 50 challenge rules

Before You Ride

You may take breaks during your ride. Many riders stop at the parking lot to eat, refuel, and rest before heading back out. Just keep your recording running so the entire GG50 remains one activity.

1. Ride only Galloping Goose

Do not ride Switchback or any other trail segments.

Follow the official GG50 route:
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/31718136

2. Complete All 50 Miles in One Calendar Day

Your Galloping Goose miles must be ridden consecutively, recorded as ONE activity, and cannot include trail offshoots or additional segments.

No exceptions.

3. Record your own ride

Use Strava, Garmin, Wahoo, Apple Watch, your phone, or another ride-recording device.

If you are riding with a minor who does not have access to a recording device, please contact us before the challenge.

4. Submit proof of your finish

Your screenshot or ride link must clearly show:

  • Route

  • Mileage

  • Ride time

  • Date

Optional: Ride for the Trails

GG50 riders can choose to join the pledge campaign and raise money for the Crew while they ride.

Fundraising is completely optional and does not affect your eligibility as a GG50 finisher. The rider who raises the most money will receive a prize.

5. Ready to Submit?

Verified finishers will receive an email with access to purchase the exclusive 2026 GG50 finisher shirt. A portion of every purchase supports the Crew.

Submitted ride screenshots and finisher photos may be shared on the Crew’s social media pages. If you would prefer that we not share your submission, please let us know when completing the form.

Finisher photos are highly encouraged!

Our small team reviews each submission and follows up by email. Please allow a little time for verification, especially as submissions increase near the end of the challenge.
