Volunteer: Cruser's Kettle Trail Work

We are organizing a weed whipping day at Cruser’s Kettle this Saturday, August 9. We will meet at the Cuyuna Connector Container, where you will pick up your equipment, map, and head to the appropriate location.

Date/Time: Saturday, August 9 at 9 a.m.
Meeting Location: Cuyuna Connector Container
IMPORTANT: No tool training will be offered. This work is for volunteers who are already comfortable and experienced with weed whips and brush clearing tools.
Registration Required; deadline: Thursday, 8/7

Weed Whip Crew Assignments (12 Volunteers Needed): SEE MAP

  • Section 1 (Parking Lot): 2 people

  • Section 2: 2 people (can leapfrog to Section 7 if time allows)

  • Section 3: 3 people

  • Section 7: 2 people

  • Section 8: 3 people

Section priority (if choosing your own): 3, then 8, 1, 2, and 7.

Note: There is very little weed whipping needed in dense forest areas where the sun doesn’t hit the ground. Be strategic about where you focus your time.
