January Crew Meeting - 7PM Thursday JAN 11

1/3/2018

Join the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Crew / IMBA (CREW/IMBA) on Thursday, January 11th, 7pm, at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby for their annual meeting celebrating 6 years of success, recognition, and the reveal of the bold 2020 vision.

Be a part of history as the CREW/IMBA recognizes the Red Dirt Family for their advocacy and volunteerism these past six years in raising the necessary and needed dollars to fulfill the Cuyuna Master Vision for Trails as created in collaboration between the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Crow Wing County, IMBA Trail Solutions and the CREW/IMBA.

Then, the CREW/IMBA will look forward as we together approach 2020 in terms of mountain bicycle trail expansion and maintenance.

Lastly, be a part of electing the new CREW/IMBA board leadership as volunteer president Aaron Hautala and Treasurer Dan Brown pass the leadership torch to president-elect Meredith Novak and treasurer-elect Dave Rahrman.

The entire regional community is invited, need not be a CREW/IMBA member or cyclists to attend. However, if you’d like to join the CREW/IMBA prior to the annual meeting, please visit http://www.joinimba.com/

As in years past, we recommend arriving early as attendance is high and the amount of seating surfaces are quickly consumed.

This event will replace the Crew's January monthly meeting normally held at the Hallett Community Center.

Trails Vision

The Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Crew (CLMTBC) are not resting on their laurels when it comes to trails.  In partnership with Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MNDNR) and the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) we have produced a system-wide expansion master vision with over 75 miles of trails at Cuyuna.

Some highlights of this plan:
  • Three days of riding without repeating a trail
  • An international, year-round, family cycling destination with trails fit for newbies who are touching dirt for first time to the hardest hard-core shredder
  • Trail connections to every local Cuyuna Lakes area town, from Riverton to Cuyuna, making all these communities "ride in/ride out" from your front door to the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Trails
